In recent times, tech startups have become synonymous with innovation, technology and disruption, name any tech startup in the world and you would see an embodiment of at least two if not all three.

It was based on these virtues that truQ (pronounced ‘truck’), an on-demand truck platform in Nigeria was selected alongside 29 other startups globally for the 2nd edition of the WYF Labs - StartupVein hosted under the umbrella of the World Youth Forum held in Sharm-el-sheikh, Egypt in December 2019.

truQ was represented by the co-founders, Williams Fatayo (CEO), Foluso Ojo (COO) and Victor Olaitan (CTO), learning startup best practices, telling the truQ story and showcasing the truQ solution while networking with other startup founders from across the world.

Our Co-founder/CEO, Williams Fatayo, while addressing the Startup Vein emphasized that “truQ was borne out of a personal bad experience with logistics in Nigeria. We found out that millions of other people experience the same challenges daily and would still suffer the same experience if nothing was done. We went back to the drawing board and developed a truck-on-demand solution that easily connects people with moving and delivery needs to the closest available truck, just the way your Uber works for cars. Our mission is to make logistics seamless and to ensure that no one would have to suffer any logistics headache as we did ever again.”

He concluded, “we’re moving logistics to a whole new level in Nigeria and beyond. Join us as we progress on this journey!”
